Natural Remedies for Severe Acne: Chamomile

As someone who has had severe acne during puberty, I know how embarrassing and even physically painful things can get. The whiteheads and blackheads certainly did not enhance the way I looked or the way I felt back then. I was given all sorts of stuff by my doctors, but it either didn't help or I didn't want to use it after reading the label. Fortunately, I stumbled onto one of Mother's Nature's natural remedies for severe acne, and after persistent daily usage, I was free of my bothersome problem!

Chamomile

Chamomile is one of the very best natural acne remedies out there, and certainly the best I've tried (because it's the last one I had to try). The plant's common names are German chamomile, wild chamomile, true chamomile, and scented mayweed. It grows on clay soils, arable land, hillsides, in glades, in clover fields, in potato fields, in corn fields, and in wheat fields. Because of the increased use of chemical fertilizers and herbicides in our world today, chamomile is eradicated more and more everyday.

The hollow receptacle at the base of the blossom distinguishes it from Roman Chamomile, which should not be used for this natural remedy for severe acne. The scent is aromatic and quite pleasant. A closer description of this well-known plant is surely not needed, as you probably already know exactly what I am describing. If in fact you live somewhere where it is possible for you to gather fresh, organic (free of herbicides) chamomile, that would be best. Gather only the flower-heads, from May to August, preferably in the bright noon Sun. If you can only buy dried chamomile flowers in an herbal store, this is fine too. However, be sure that they are certified organic.

Directions for Usage

Chamomile is not only one of the most effective natural remedies for severe acne, but it is also one of the easiest to prepare. Chamomile is actually utilized as a two-pronged natural remedy for severe acne. A body-wash and a tea are prepared before nighttime. Both will start healing your acne, while promoting wonderfully refreshing sleep.

Whether using fresh or dried flowers, use about 25 milligrams for the body-wash. Prepare the body-wash in the following manner: Put the flowers into a 14-fluid-ounce vessel. Then, fill the vessel with boiling water. Once the mixture cools to about room temperature, strain it of the flowers and leaves. Then, after showering, proceed to wash all body parts that are inflicted with the acne.

While the chamomile mixture is cooling, prepare the other part of your natural remedy for severe acne: the chamomile tea. It is easily prepared in the following manner: Whether you are using fresh or dried flowers, take about 10 milligrams and throw them in a cup. Next, fill the cup with boiling water from your teapot. Strain the liquid right before you go into the shower and drink it as soon as you exit.

Using the two-pronged natural remedy for severe acne I've outlined above, you should begin to see effects in just a few weeks. Continue this process everyday (or as often as possible) until the acne disappears. Then, when you are through with painful and embarrassing pimples, raise a cup of chamomile tea to Mother Nature for providing us with such a wonderful plant!
